Important information about this product
Our shark products are either 100% North Queensland Black Tip (Whaler) or Australian Gummy shark. These are both common sharks in Australia. Caught using only sustainable practices with quotas strictly managed by the Australian Fisheries. They are declared as least concern by the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature). They are very common in our Australian waters and not endangered. No threatened shark species used in our products.
These fish are essentially caught for human consumption. Often referred to as flake in fish and chip shops and we mainly use the non-human consumption leftovers which would otherwise be discarded. Therefore nothing is wasted. 
Secondly, we do not catch endangered sharks to use just their fins, tails or skin for dog products ! 
In conclusion, we use the leftovers of common sustainably fished Australian shark used for human consumption.
